How Do I Add a Dedicated IP to my Shared Hosting Account?
To add a dedicated IP to your shared hosting account:
- Go to your hosting provider's Web site and purchase a Dedicated IP credit.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting.
- Click the applicable hosting account.
- In the Hosting Account Details section on the right, click Apply Dedicated IP Address.
NOTE: It may take 4-8 hours for .COM and .NET domains and 24-48 hours for all other domain extensions for the necessary DNS changes to your account to take effect. Your Web site will still be reachable while the DNS is being updated.
