Making Web-Based Email your Default Program for 'mailto' Links

If you installed the Desktop Notifier, you can set Web-Based Email as your default program when clicking a 'mailto' link on a Web site. For more information, see Installing Desktop Notifier.

NOTE: The Desktop Notifier is only available for Windows.

To Use Web-Based Email for mailto: Links

  1. From the Windows Start menu, under All Programs, select Web-Based Email, and then click Desktop Notifier.
  2. In your system tray, right-click the envelope icon, and then select Settings.
  3. Select Enable mailto: links.
  4. Click Close.
