Understanding Transactions Processed by Escrow.com
Domains sold for $500 or more on The Domain Name Aftermarket (TDNAM) are processed through an escrow service, and the escrow service subtracts processing fees from the seller's proceeds. The buyer submits funds to escrow.com, which holds the funds in a non-interest bearing account, and then pays you by personal check, certified check, or wire transfer.
Escrow.com verifies the funds and notifies the seller, who initiates moving the domain. When the buyer receives the domain, the buyer notifies escrow.com, and then escrow.com releases the funds to the seller.
You may receive email messages from TDNAM, escrow.com, the buyer, or the seller during this process.
