Adding, Editing, and Deleting Custom Text and HTML on Your Sidebar

You can customize your Quick Blogcast Sidebar to include text or HTML Code, specifying whether you want the custom text or HTML to display on the page for others to see or whether you want it to be hidden. For example, you may want to add HTML for tracking visitors to your blog, but you may not want other people to see it.

NOTE: This feature is not available with the free version of Quick Blogcast. You are welcome to upgrade to the paid version of Quick Blogcast to gain use of the product's full features. For information about upgrading your Quick Blogcast plan, see How to Upgrade Your Quick Blogcast Account.

To Add Custom Text or HTML to Your Sidebar

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
4. From the Design Blog menu, select Sidebar.
5. From the Cloneable Components list, click Custom Text, and, while holding the mouse button, drag it to the Active Components list.
6. Click the Custom Text component.
7. In the Name field, specify a name for the component.
8. To display the custom text or HTML on your blog so other people can see it, select Show on blog.
9. In the Custom text or HTML area, enter the text or HTML code you want to add to the blog.
10. Click Save.

To Edit Custom Text and HTML on Your Sidebar

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
4. From the Design Blog menu, select Sidebar.
5. Edit the details for the text or HTML, and then click Save.

To Delete a Custom Text or HTML Component

When you delete a Blogroll or Custom Text component, Quick Blogcast moves the component to the Deleted Components area. When you click Save, Quick Blogcast permanently deletes the component.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
4. From the Design Blog menu, select Sidebar.
5. Click the X for the component you want to remove. Quick Blogcast moves the component to the Deleted Components area.
6. Click Save.
